Audiovisual equipment and technical support for UW-Extension Conference Centers is provided by Instructional Communications Systems (ICS), located in The Pyle Center. A wide range of equipment including microphones, DVD players, camcorders, projectors, computers with their peripherals, and much more are available upon request. Certain assistive listening systems that are compatible with a variety of hearing instrument styles for hearing aid user are available, and videoconference connections for those preferring access to sign language interpreters can also be arranged. For specific details about all available services and equipment, rates, and user policies, please refer to the Instructional Equipment and Services Price List.

ICS advises and guides planners, presenters, and participants in the use of all instructional tools. In addition, all meeting spaces in The Pyle Center are equipped with Help Desk phones which are answered by in-house staff able to provide immediate assistance. Because distance education requires connections to remote sites, the ICS Operations Center staff also provides support and consultation services to locations worldwide.

To arrange for technical equipment and services, first contact the ECC Scheduling Department. An event planner will determine whether it is necessary to refer you to additional ICS staff when selecting the appropriate technology to match your needs and to determine costs.
